Do you offer a last minute or emergency videographer in Dallas Fort Worth?
Yes. The Understudy is our last minute and emergency filming service across the DFW metroplex. We take dates on as little as 48 hours notice, and the same day when our calendar allows. We reply within two hours and tell you the same day whether we can take your date.
My videographer did not show up or stopped replying. Can you film this weekend?
Call or text us with the date, venue and start time. If we can take it, we confirm the same day and send a written quote with the notice fee shown on its own line. If we cannot, we tell you right away and point you to filmmakers we trust.
Can you re-edit or finish footage that was never edited?
Yes. That is Edit Rescue. Send us the footage and we quote the edit after we see it, from $600 for a highlight film up to three minutes and from $1,200 for a full wedding film recut, with a first cut in 5 days.
My videographer cancelled. What should I do first?
Call or text us with your date, venue and start time. We reply within two hours and tell you the same day whether we can take it. It also helps to ask your videographer in writing about your deposit and any footage already shot. If footage exists, Edit Rescue can turn it into a finished film.
Can you be our backup videographer?
Yes. That is Standby. For $250 we hold your date and keep it open. If your videographer cancels or does not arrive, call us and the date is yours. The fee is credited toward your booking if you call us in.
Can you film a wedding or event tomorrow or on the same day?
Sometimes. We take dates on as little as 48 hours notice, and the same day when our calendar allows. Under 48 hours we will do our best and tell you honestly if we cannot. A notice fee applies, shown on its own line in your quote.
Do you film outside Dallas?
Yes. We film across the DFW metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Arlington and Irving, and travel further when the date calls for it. Travel is included within 40 miles of Dallas. Beyond that, our travel terms apply and appear in your quote.
Our videographer never delivered our film. Can you help?
If the footage was shot, yes. Send us what you have and we will quote the edit after we see it. That is Edit Rescue. We cannot recreate a day that was not filmed, but we can finish one that was.
Do you film corporate events and launches at short notice?
Yes. Companies call us when a launch, conference or announcement comes together quickly or a crew falls through. We give you a clear quote the same day and film it with the same standard as a planned project.
What if you are already booked on my date?
Tell us the date and we will answer the same day. If we cannot take it, we will point you to videographers we trust.
Can you really film on 48 hours notice?
Yes, subject to our calendar. We take two rescue shoots a week at most, so each one gets our full attention. Under 48 hours we will do our best, and we will be honest if we cannot.
What is Standby?
For a $250 fee we hold your date and keep it open for you. If your videographer cancels, you call us and the date is yours. The fee is credited toward the collection you book. If you never need us, the fee is kept. We hold one Standby per date.
Why is there a notice fee?
Short notice means clearing our calendar and planning in days instead of weeks. The fee covers that and nothing more. It appears on its own line in your quote, so you see exactly what you are paying for.
Is the film the same quality as a normal booking?
Yes. A rescue gets the same coverage, color grade, sound and delivery as any other booking. Planning time is shorter, so we use a quick intake in place of the usual consultation.
What if the footage is already shot?
That is Edit Rescue. Send us what you have and we will quote the edit after we see it. A highlight film starts at $600 and a full wedding film recut starts at $1,200.
